Karen A. Bogartz, 69, of Danbury, beloved wife of Robert J. Walsh, passed away at Regional Hospice and Home Care Center on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
Karen was born in Brookyln, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Zoino. She graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School, Brooklyn, NY and Harpur College at Binghamton, NY, where she received her B.A. degree. She taught school in the Danbury, Brookfield and Newtown schools and had a great love for reading and cooking. She always looked forward to going to the movies with her close friends "the...

Karen A. Bogartz, 69, of Danbury, beloved wife of Robert J. Walsh, passed away at Regional Hospice and Home Care Center on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
Karen was born in Brookyln, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Zoino. She graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School, Brooklyn, NY and Harpur College at Binghamton, NY, where she received her B.A. degree. She taught school in the Danbury, Brookfield and Newtown schools and had a great love for reading and cooking. She always looked forward to going to the movies with her close friends "the ladies of the evening", and trips to the casino with her cousin Pat.
In addition to her family, she is survived by her son Adam Bogartz and his wife Michelle of Newtown, her beloved granddaughter Kaiya Bogartz, daughter Rachel Bogartz of Unionville, her sister JoAnn Mastrodomenico and husband James of Copiaque, NY, brother Terence Zoino of Houston, TX and her cousin Patricia Rose and husband Don.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury, on Tuesday, November 29th, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be private.
